I have a pond and wonderful wetland plants that are so aggressive that they fill all available space with roots and block water flow. So I ripped everything out and put back several of these baskets with gravel and plants only in the baskets. Now to keep the water circulating, I can lift out the baskets and trim the roots sticking out. Working great so far.

These baskets are pretty good if you want a wire basket with the dimensions listed. THe wire mesh does have a seam on one of the long sides where it wraps around.
